Tonight! Chops Chops Chops and Potage

Tonight the entrée was a potage of different vegetables, tomatoes, brocoli… actually it was the leftover of the oversteamed vegetables from yesterday  ;-)))  all puréed together with some coconut milk to make a creamy potage!!! (but without the Brussels sprouts since I’m the only one who eats them in this household) Neat trick to recycle the veggies!)

 PLUS   This is my favorite Coconut Milk (which you can buy cheap at Aubut, just ask me where it is…)

And then came the main dish, the typical nude pork chops in all it’s raw beauty, roasted in butter with some onions, with a bit of salt, oregano and paprika! I took most of the fat away because it was not grass but grain feed.

According to the theory its fats will reflect the nutrition of the animal, so being grain/seed feed it will have a unbalanced Omega 6 to Omega 3 ratio. Luckily since most of the fat is stored around the meat, and not in the meat itself (protein), taking away most of the fat and eating it lean takes care of this. We then finished the meal with some slices of avocado , good healthy fats!!!!
